My grandparents have abandoned me for Australia. Isn't that cruel? There should be some kind of grandparent code of conduct that forbids that kind of thing :) They (shockingly) have left me to chaperone the house. The rules still stand though. How a woman who continues to live out of wedlock and has a daughter who had a son out of wedlock and a grandfather with a lesbian daughter and my liberal mother can maintain that Drew isn't allowed to sleep over continues to baffle me. On a certain level I get it. They grew up in a different era but they've both always been so liberal. Arph!

I'm going to see the Dust Rhino's...again. I wanted to see Banshee's Wail to change things up, but then I found out that it's Brad's last show. I could not possibly miss that! I haven't seen Dale in forever so all in all I'm happy. A few friends were not able to change venue with me so that makes me sad but I'm recovering. However a bunch of my favourite people in the whole wide world are coming and that makes me very happy! Happy Birthday to me!

I'm a little apprehensive on how all my buds are going to mesh. Seems bizarre somehow to mix highschool, university, and work all in one bar. Whatever the case, the results will be interesting.

Lester has planned a couples night. Am I the only person in the world who detests "couples only" evenings?

I can't believe it. After two years I finally get to see Brandy again. It's bizarre being seperated from your bestfriend for that long. She wants me to meet her new man...a mennonite rocker? I'm psyched, can't wait to have a sit down in person instead of on the phone.

My Papa got me a brand, new, shiny, MEC school bag. *deep sigh of contentment* My life is now complete. All is well, safe, secure, and completely indestructable in my new bag, oh JOY!

I got an email from a work exchange program today. I have to send in a french cover letter and soon! I'll have to call mum up and get her to help me draft an elegant francais description of my working self :D

till next time goobers!

Hello all. I'm actually free for a couple of days from the university slog. GO ME! Tonight I'm going to an AIDS benefit at the west end. However, the instant I get to the university all my theatre friends find me and want me to go to a social/fundraiser thing. Boo! They should have called me! Goobers, one and all.

The Drew man and my self have recovered from the hateful disease and are looking forward to visiting the hooligans in the country tomorrow.

Hah! All the Edmontoner's have to deal with cold, we get snow!

I finally got my butt in gear and went to see "an inconvenient truth." There was one to many dramatic shots of Gore but otherwise it was well presented.

ALL OF MY PAPER'S ARE IN!!! Despite classes, boys, and work I managed it all...and on time!

I got my prospectus from the university of sheffield, very exciting. Their recruitment program is a lot more aggressive. I love the look of all their courses too. So many wonderful schools, so little time...to be actually accepted. Eeeek! The smarty pants of the world are intimidating me!

Christmas is stalking me, evil holy night. Now the shopping extravaganza is peaking, the war paint is on, and the high heels are being used to undermine the "casual" shopper. *sigh* I need to work more :(

Da'boss just brought me home after taking me out with some co-workers for drinks. Wine makes me sleepy. I want a sun roof in my car when I finally get around to buying one. Standing up and feeling the breeze blow past you is very refreshing.

I've been upgraded to being referred to as the "assistant" as opposed to the "booker". The only prob with that is that now they're trying even harder to recruit me. It's flattering but I'm not really sure how I stand on the whole agent thing. It would be nice to make that kind of money but then again maybe not!

One of my co-workers was particularly disgusting today. He leaned over my shoulder and spent about five minutes spitting into the garbage can while I was talking on the phone to clients. The guy is a pig. I can work with him but he's repulsive at a very basic level.

I was a daring woman today. The bustier came out of retirement and into the workforce. Must say it went over very well. The head boss himself commented on it (he's so enigmatic, i can't ever tell what he's thinking, creeps me out!) It cleans up quite nicely from courtesan to office girl with a white blouse underneath. :D

In the past week I read Catcher in the Rye and saw Capote. Catcher in the Rye I didn't like very much. It's a good story and I like what the other is trying to say about society but i loathe his fatalism. The main character never takes any action or responsibility for what he doesn't like. Granted being paralyzed in this regard is part of his message but it reaks of hypocrisy to me. If you're going to whine about something you might as well set an example for how you'd like things to go. Or at the very least suggest a direction. Capote I adored. It's such an understated film. Critics apparently didn't like the pace, thinking it was to slow but I liked that. It allowed the story to grow at it's own pace. The main character was very complex, with a broad spectrum of emotions and roles. I get so tired of normal, one-dimensional leads in movies. It was extremely well thought out and planned. The colour scheme was exceptional. There isn't a single strong colour in the entire film. No reds or blues period. Not to mention recognizing parts of downtown winnipeg was cool!

One of the guys at the office has given me the rough copy of his novel to read. I want a digital copy. It's in dire need of editing. I hope I can convince him to let me have a crack at it. I think the story itself is reasonably good but the writing itself needs to be simplified and whittled down. You can't read it out loud with out stumbling which is a very bad sign. All it needs is flow. I may not be good at spelling or grammar but I'm a kick ass editor when it comes to structure, organization, and voice. (i'll take a moment to thank my mother for all her patient speech editing sessions, they continue to be invaluable) He's a lot older than me and I'm worried that he'll be offended that little miss 19 thinks she can improve his work. Then again, he did ask me to read it. He sent it out to a publisher for the first time this week. I've gained new appreciation for those guys and the jobs editors must have. It must be tough to see what story has potential and which doesn't.

Night all, this tart's of to bedfordshire :P

As per usual (and by that i mean wild, wacky and insane) my life has been carrying on at the normal pace.

I FINALLY went to see Justin Lacroix last saturday and he was...delicious! What a dish and fantastic music to boot. You really can't go wrong with a guy crooning to you in french. :)

Been running into a lot of uni buddies. Ran into David at Fin McCue's and Megan on the way home from Charles's on Thursday and of course Mack's AWESOME birthday party at Shannon's on Friday. That was a ridiculous amount of fun. Sorry Charles, even more fun than your b-day at Basil's. I wasn't forced to spark conversation with people closely related to puddles. Although Irina and Amanda's nuclear war with the waitress was well worth watching. Don't work to long in the service industry folks, it changes you! :P And Chad treating us to baked expectations was a great end to the evening, hee hee! Chocolate!

Lesley and I went to Mack's party and it was fantastic. I didn't know anybody there except Mack and his gf but had a great time anyway. The Dust Rhino's happened to be playing (did you know poor brad has broken his fingers in a car accident?) and Dale was his adorable self. He keeps hinting that we should go to some all you can eat sushi thing. I love flirts! Just about everybody there worked at safeway and came from the eastern region. Lesley and I were vitains, a few steenbachers, and a sprinkling of francais from St. Pierre and Niverville. In Manitoba it's nearly impossible to attend a party with true strangers.

I've been invited out every night since last wednesday. I'm going crazy! I'm supposed to be saving money but my friends are bound and determined that my weak willed self spend it all. Well I haven't been that weak willed, i did turn down 3 engagements so far but ugh! it was painful. *sniff* Waaaa! I want to go to the ex with Charles. :( *wounded social butterfly*

I'm unsure what to do about my chad (as opposed to boss chad). He fucked up royally and he does have some valid excuses but...eh. Some things I'm still not buying. Oh well, we'll see how it goes.

Jean and Pepere are back a day early from Niagara, hee, I made them supper last night. I tried out this new egg recipe. You take egg, whisk it, add parsley with salt and pepper and then make crepe's out it. Roll up the crepes and slice them into noodles. Add tomatoe sauce and sprinkle on top parmesan. It was good but heavey. Next time i'm going to add grated zucchinni to the mix along with some flour. See if that lightens it up some. It looks really pretty!

My room is almost clean. I've taken a new vow of room neatness. Too much clutter not enough space! I'm pretty good except about laundry. Ick! I hate folding.

Since I transferred stores I've had 3 days off. Which is awesome! Work is goood ya!

I've started running again but missed my weekly date with the pet shelter. Not good. We'll see how this week goes.

With safeway i get Canada Day off. Which is kinda nice. They wanted me to go to Thunder Bay in July for a promotional thing but it interferes with work with Chad. So I had to turn it down which sucked. I've never been to Thunder Bay and an all expenses paid trip down there would have been awesome.

That's all for now, gotta run...literally!

I'm officially having my first date with Chad on Sunday :D He called, hee heee hee! It's a little confusing with the double chad action. I'm going to have to get them to identify themselves on the phone from now on. Jean can't tell the difference on the phone yet. She thought it was the boss calling, not the cutie!

I've already started picking up shifts at Crestview. I start there tomorrow :)

I booked 14! Top at the office because I do in fact rule the universe! MUAHAHAHA! Actually that's just the minimum so even though I came out on top that's not so great. Everyone seemed to have a really tough night booking. Not good. I think everyone in the Brandon area is going to the same wedding this week. I actually had one woman tell me she is always a bitch on the phone. Believe it or not those are the easiest ones to deal with. By the end they're so impressed that you haven't hung up on them yet that they're guarenteed to agree to a session. :D

My sad news for the day is that I can't go to grad. :( I should be able to attend Cheryl's birthday celebration. Life could be worse, lol!

YAY!!! HE ASKED ME OUT!!! *bouncyjoybouncyjoy*

That's pretty much all my news right now.

I wasn't informed as to how early this soccer game was going to be so I phoned and now I can't go. They're are starting at noon. Bugger! Ah well, serves me right for sleeping in :) The soccer game with the gals was also a flop. Rena (who is hosting) decided to have it in the country. Which of course is no good for me or charles :P

AHAHAHAHAH!!! Meite's going on a date! lalalalala!

Whew! I love my life except for today. I'm having a slow day for some reason. I don't have any actual obligations as of this moment and it's kinda freaking me out. Honestly my last day that I thought was going to be like this Mamie landed in the hospital so I'm just a little paranoid about free time these days. Anyways I thought I would actually type out some of my adventures for a change instead of trumpeting on, streaming banners and all!

Chad payed me! Finally, seems like I always have to work for a month at any new place before I finally get paid. The good news is that it's all under the table. No taxes for Meite! MUAHAHAHA!

I have finally been transfered to the Crestview Safeway. Yesterday was my last shift at my beloved 714. Carlyle (i.e. the grinch) shocked everyone by hugging me in front of the entire staff (poor guy, seemed genuinely upset that i was leaving, *sniff* i'm gonna miss him too!) and Gerald sayed if anything went wrong, anytime, I could have my job back no questions asked. He's a terrific boss. After what CanAm put me through it's probably hardest leaving him. The gals and Paul were great. It was more like a party than a 4 hour shift. Got to see most of my regulars. Unfortunatley my favourite regular hasn't called me. BOYS!!! I am officially putting up a mental block on curly hair and blue eyes...ARPH! (yes, meite can not restrain herself from flirting...hee hee hee :P) Even Lise, fearsome though she is, phoned me to say that she was sorry/angry to see me go because i was a reliable and good employee. From Lise that about as close to a compliment as your going to get. lol! As Angela put it, it's been a slice! Farewell!!! *waves before walking into sunset*

Had lesley over a while ago. I managed to lose us on the way back from the vid store and on the bus ride out we were "recruited" into the army by a person of questionable soberness with the lure that we could have as many boyfriends as we liked. Apparently we were also officer worthy material. *eyeroll* The great part about this incident is that everyone in the back of the bus was in on the scheme and we had great time saluting this old fella and generally had a lot of fun with complete strangers. Gotta luv manitoba! The next morning lesley woke me up at 5:30 in the morning...ugh...I still haven't quite forgiven her.

I got my marks back from the University....I GOT AN A!!! *victory dance* Well actually it's an A- but :P. The A was in Anthro, B in English, B+ in History, and a C in Philosophy! I didn't fail it!!! Yay! I'll have to phone Mack and tell him the studying helped. :) All in all, that's not bad for my first year. It's way better than what I was expecting that's for sure.

Nana I shall keep on attempting to get ahold of you. :)

I babysat my cousins on friday. They were awesome! I ADORE well behaved children. I want kids who act like that when I get a sitter for them. Dylan was a huge help. Couldn't have done it without him. Nathan was cute. He's only a year and a half so he cried every time he saw me get up to leave him when it was bedtime. The guy was wiped out, didn't take long for him to be sleeping like, well, a baby. Apparently I was a hit. I didn't really know that Dylan was a Star Wars fan but he was pretty excited when it was revealed that I'd brought "Revenge of the Sith". I just picked it because I figured he wasn't the chick flick type. My movie collection has pretty limited selection for little boys. lol.

Ash came over and discussed life, the universe, and everything with me on saturday.

My boss should be taking cheryl and I to see kinky boots! Can't wait :) Although I'm hoping to continue to palm him of on cheryl. Shouldn't be to difficult! MUAHAHAHA! That's right charles, it's a plot against you! He's sweet but I have my eye on another target :D

Papa took me on the most fantastic adventure on Sunday. The sushi was flabbergastingly good. Papa pegged the waiter as a livewire the minute we came in the door and exploited him as any good resource should be. He set him loose on the menu and we were rewarded with treasures for the taste buds :) The sun was shining, the air soft, and balloons floated in that blue perfection that was the sky. Ahhhh...summer! Then we went and saw a tragic, heart warming/breaking, film about Daniel Johnston. He believes in god, the devil, but especially the devil because the devil knows his name... I recommend "The Devil and Daniel Johnston" as a movie for anyone who appreciates great lyrics and the titanic struggle required for artistic genuius to survive in this world.

I also have spent more time at the shelter and it's a good thing!

Today I got the vids from keith. Thanks!

Well that's all for now. The lawn is cut, the laundry laundered, the dishes done, now I just have to catch somebody home and convince them to go see X-men 3 with me :)

Well mamie was refusing diaylis but now they've got her drugged up to her satisfaction. They also hit her with the big guns (i.e. if you don't do as we tell you, you WILL end up in a casket). She looked great! Silly creature ate all her peaches before eating the rest of her supper. Papa took me to see her today after some lovely fish and chips. It was good to check in on her. It felt a bit dramatic though. We had to wear those gowns and gloves. Set my nerves on just the right setting for heading into the dialysis room. Soooooo my cup of tea, a room full of people acting like pincushions. *attempts not to faint at the thought* I was sporting my lovely new flats and that gave me courage :)

I spent the day in a succesion of pet shops. Bugs are NOT my thing. Apparently 50% of women are arachnaphobic. Big surprise there! However I could get talked into lizards. The chinese dragons were downright adorable. Also had my papa fix in the process. (I can't believe how fast he got mum's present. it must be a sin to move that fast in a mall!)

I did it! I volunteered at the pet shelter down the street. I'm there monday and thursday mornings. The puppies are adorable. They also have this massive bird cage just filled to the brim with happy birds. Apparently because they have the facilities for it, they don't let out any of their birds for adoption and keep them because they know they have a great life where they are. The place is practically musical those birds are so happy!

I've had my last music lesson of the season. *sigh* It was sad to say goodbye to Lawrence. I won't be seeing him again till fall. I actually got to sing the entire aria right through with WORDS! I know that doesn't sound very big but after just singing vowel sounds for so long it was wonderful :D

I read Pride and Prejudice. I thought "that can't be it. there's got to be more to the story." But no, in fact, there isn't. Even Austen say's the book is just "bright and sparkling". Oh well, it kept me amused for 2 days. Then I read Bridget Jones's Diary. It's hilarious! All sorts of manic things are revealed that don't happen in the movie.

Hurrah! I am going to go to the may long social! Well maybe, depends on Camie. We'll see if she'll drive me back on monday. Fantastico and jubilation, i'm going to a party, i'm going to a party! *handclap* *giggles* *general peppyness* Gotta love it when that lesley girl pulls through for me :D Egad! What shall I wear!

Howl's Moving Castle is much fun! The animation isn't quite up to triplett standards but it's still excellent. 90 year old woman wins the heart of a wimpy wizard. As far as I'm concerned that's a great plot ;) I'll have to ring Mac and tell him. It's lovely having such an enthusiastic bestest friend (there is a funny story behind that!). LOL!

Also, I'm fantastic at this new job. I LOVE it! I nurtured my inner arrogance and all went stupendously well. :D I'm beating out the other new guy who got hired the same day as I did. He doesn't seem to mind ;) Hee, He thinks I'm more than a little cute. Muah-ah-ah-ah! My competition loves me, my competitivness is satisfied, and my boss was smiling by the end of the day. Hurrah! *adds more warpaint, continues pagan victory chant*

Ugh, must crash. So sleepy...zzzz.

Mamie is doing way better in the hospital. It no longer looks like she's (literally) on death's door and Bonnie has her interview with P. College. OH JOY!

And Mac is taking me to see mission impossible three! I love that guy, and chad, my new boss!!! I love him too! hurrah! Egad!

I think I'm so happy because there is finally something to be joyful about since I got home. :D

I love all of you!

My father bought 5 tarantula's today with apparent sanity in the St. Vital Mall food court. TARANTULA'S!!! *big, whispery, sigh* I'm such a girl. They scare me shitless. Snakes I could handle. But a spider that may grow up to 11 inches long? I'm in over my head, I may never recover. Gotta love this grand old world and what it throws at you. I've never understood the concept of being bored. There's just so many other things to do. Like deciding if I have enough courage to hold that large an insect in the palm of my hand or the attractive option number two that involves running like hell. Interesting, no?

You Are Guinness

You know beer well, and you'll only drink the best beers in the world.
Watered down beers disgust you, as do the people who drink them.
When you drink, you tend to become a bit of a know it all - especially about subjects you don't know well.
But your friends tolerate your drunken ways, because you introduce them to the best beers around.

Egad! I'm sure you're all shocked by the results, tee-hee! Me a guiness? Is soooo proud of self :D

Oh my darlings it's been a wild ride since I left all of you for my first (but definitly not last) globe trotting jaunt. I have finally jumped the puddle *bowbow* *accepts standing ovation* Another life goal accomplished and down on paper. OH YEAH!!!

Today was interesting. Apprehended my first criminal with the help of the adorable ryan (he's entirely squeezable, gotta luv cute managers ;)) Silly bad guy thought he could get past me. MUAHAAHAHAHAHA! I was unusually sharp considering at the time my body was screaming at me that it was 3 in the morning. Jet lag, regretable side affect of travel. The con man has been snagged, not bad for my first day back at work.

London was amazing. It was like a fairy tale come true. Every which way you turn you bump into some other amazing landmark that you forgot you wanted to see. The Globe Theatre, King's Cross Station, Westminster Abbey, British Museum, Trafalgar Square, Leicster Square, the Tower, Tower Bridge, London Bridge (is falling down! I couldn't help myself but sing that while crossing the bridge. Gimme a break, I'm really still a child on the inside :P) Camden Market, Heathrow, Drury Lane (THE MUFFIN MAN!!!) and it just goes on and on and on. I saw the royal bling, was a bystander at the gun salute at the tower for the queen's birthday (totally brilliant, gotta love cannons. who says boys are the only ones who can appreciate toys? *bouncybouncy* I saw rally mini coopers!!! yayayayaya! *in which meite attempts to curb her enthusiasm so as to continue typing despite it being way past her bedtime* I dragged keith onto a carousel (yet again indulging my inner child...) listened to a perfect aria sung less than a hundred metres from the opera house in a beautiful open air market, and ate lunch in one of london's oldest pubs. And the shopping (drools at the thought) was spectacular!!! It was Meite heaven. Good Girls go to heaven and Naughty girls go to London, I am on the naughty band wagon all the way. Besides I have good intentions, and you know what road is paved with that... To be within a few feet of greats like Dickens, Kipling, Eleanor of Aquitaine, Elizabeth I, Mary Queen of Scots, Sir Issac Newton was breath taking. And listening to big ben was certainly a perk. Buckingham Palace was a little severe for my taste but the guards were fascinating in a bizarre kinda way.

Ireland is beautiful in the way you feel the Valar's sacred realm is. Every last bit of it is heart wrenchingly stunning. There's nothing quite like sitting at the top of an abandoned castle, built by the celts, watching a distant sea, the rolling, brilliant green mountains above you, and the cradled valleys holding their newborn lambs close. They look like innocent clouds that decided to live on earth for awhile. When it's sunny I was either eagerly anticipating a hobbit inviting me to a well deserved elevensies or to be told by a dashing centaur that yes, in fact, i was in Narnia and the quest would start down the narrow lane on my left leading into a dark and mysterious mirkwood. (i had way to much time with my imagination...forgive me!)

Not that Irleand doesn't have a few draw backs. The food is atrocious (never, ever, order salad) everything is made of brick, and it rains. Not a good old prairie down pour that will be over in half an hour but a grey wet that comes down steadily for days on end. I actually bought an umbrella.

Everyone I think liked their gifts. Hee! I was so excited to give mum her blanket! Big hugs to my little mum! Papa was a darling and brought me home after my plane landed back in the country. I'm gonna collapse from exhaustion so I'll continue posting later.

And for those of you waiting for the blood and tears, later. I need time to write that one down. As you are all well aware, meite never does anything half way. *headdesk* Have to mop up the worst of the damage :)

In lighter news, I may have a new job.

London was fantastic! It's so easy to get around out here. The tube, the train, and the brilliant (scarlet) double decker buses all operate on the same ticket. It's kinda like the minneapolis system but a million times better. I've been to the King's Cross Station (sadley platform 9 3/4 didn't work for me), slept in my first hostel, taken my first train ride, made a wish in Trafalgar Square (I apoligize for any spelling errors I've got limited comp time), shopped in Piccadilly, eaten in Drury Lane (NOT MY GUM DROP BUTTONS!), missed my first world class play (the producers), and oh, a few million other things. The open air markets are brilliant and the food is superb. Because the laws are so strict on gmo's and preservatives the ice cream actually tastes like real cream. I was so sick but it was sooooo good.

Westminster was basically a gigantic tomb and I didn't even get to see Eleanor of Aquitaine because you had to be escorted by the priests. I did see Sir Issac Newtons tomb and a bunch of other things they talk about in the Da Vinci Code like innocents corner.

The tower was like a dream come true. We just happened to be there on the queen's birthday so the guards were in full regalia and they had a gun salute on the thames just outside. Traitors gate, the bloody tower, tower bridge, london bridge weeee! I can't believe I was actually there. It felt surreal to be in places that I'd read about so much. They even had these funny actors who were enacting some of the towers funnier moments. I saw the royal bling (diamonds, REALLY big diamonds) and off course all the gory war memoribilia collected over nearly a thousand years.

Right now I'm just about to head off to kiss the blarney stone. (meagan, eat your shorts!) Ireland is gorgeous. It's just like a fairy tale. I could be in middle earth. The tumble down stone hedges, peat bogs, and mountains remind me of the shire. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if a wispy grey wizard asked me to save the world from an evil magical tyrant. Yesterday I was exhausted from the previous nights adventures (flew in to dublin at about 10:00 and then drove clear across the country to get to Killarney along with sneaking into hostels and keith picking up the keys from work) so I went for a quiet hike in the hills and after discovering a romantic little barn and several stone walled pastures I settled down to make daisy chains in the warm Irish breeze.

Gotta run ;P

Subject: *ENORMOUS SMILE ON MY FACE BECAUSE LIFE IS GOOD*
Security: Public
Mood:all out happy! all out happy!
Music:loud, very loud!!!

Life is GREAT despite my philosophy paper being late (i'm having a hard time being depressed about it because it's spring, spring, SPRING!!!)

One, I actually slept last night, ALL night. The alarm clock actually woke me up and I could have slept more. You know how utterly fantastic that is? Wonderful, all is wonderful!

ARIA!!! I have my very own beginners italian aria to figure out! O JOY! I love you lawrence, *sniff of delight*. Last night I had an extra long voice lesson and I learned all sorts of stuff. It makes me soooooo happy. I can't even begin to tell you how exciting it is for me. It's like learning a language I've always known but just didn't know how to articulate. It's a great to talk about style and performance and get different ideas on how a piece should come together. I even love scales. Sometimes I think I could practice all day long (that is if my lungs would co-operate, they are getting better, i might even be healthy for a change) Reading music is hard but so rewarding. I hate being confused which I always felt when we had to learn new pieces of music in choir. It's nice to know what the notes are and understand the composition instead of relying entirely on the piano and sense of harmony. Everything was always been by my ear which is fine but understanding WHY things are and HOW things are is way more satisfying. For example the difference between a sharp and a flat. I know that's basic but I never got it before. I knew that that's what they symbols meant but I didn't know what made them that way. Now i do! *claps hands* Most of the singing stuff is now about purifying my vowels. English has about 15 vowel sounds. Italian has a maximum of 7. You have to be exact. Right now i'm practicing harmony with the dresden dolls, coin-operated boy. hee!

Sometimes I get intimidated at the university because I'm so far behind (it doesn't help when senior students come up continously next to my practice room and make fun of me by singing in an exagerated fashion) It's tough to feel proud of singing a scale when someone next door is singing "carmen" perfectly or figuring out where the hell "do" is along with using those flats and sharps when 5 year olds in the building read music like it was english. I feel a little bit insecure and unsure sometimes but I can't live life without music. I can't go back to not singing. It's my soul. So I don't give a damn what they think. I have to start somewhere and it might as well be the beginning. Still, a tiny part of me wants to run and hide sometimes. Not typical meite style but I'm not always couragous or brave. Just very, very stubborn as you all well know.

I just about died laughing on sunday. I turned around in my checkstand to talk to paul when he gives me the strangest look and says "meite, you've got something on your face". I wipe at the side of my face and ask if it's gone and he just gets more and more concerned looking. So I look at my reflection in the checkstand mirror. EGAD! I was bright orange. Half my face had become this blotchy, swirly, dusty, violently orange colour. To this day I have no idea how that crap got on my face but it was really funny. When I got out of the ladies room after scrubbing it off I asked Jess "is my face still orange?" My boss happened to overhear and thought i was off my rocker. He got an explanation and now never wastes an opportunity to call me orange. Ah! I'm going to miss gerald, balding old fart that he is! Whaaa! I don't want to transfer from my darling pembina safeway. boo-hoo :(

The source of the orange is still an un-solved mystery...

The english one girls had lunch today. Those girls are all perfect darlings. The guys couldn't make it as they all have lunchtime classes (...bums!) At least there was no one to steal my lovely banana split :D

The keyboard is here! Yay!

Jean and Pepere are totally spoiling me. Pepere practically force feeds me! Sly man, he knows my weaknesses ;) I get rides, my taxes are done, my resume's are all faxed, they're really to good to be true :D Who says moving isn't a good thing?

22 days to Ireland! ....but who's counting ;)

Hurrah! I'm 19 years old, gawd, i'm such an old bag now. :P An old bag that made some neglible choices on how much green beer to have...hmmm. It's awesome waiting for your birthday to roll around in an Irish pub on st. patty's day. Had a fantastic chat with some new friends i made. The most interesting was a fellow from quebec. Dale was fantastic as usual (that boy still gives the best hugs!) and we of course gave the americans a hearty introduction to the canadian way! SOCIABLE ARRRRRR! Thanks to all of you that came out!

I have officially decided to live with Jean and Pepere now. Micho and I have called of the grand experiment. They're taking me in rent free. I LOVE MY GRANDPARENTS! They are so good to me. It felt nice to be so loved after the electrical fires incident.

I'm going to Jason Collet on Wednesday. I'm so excited! Yay!

School is very busy right now. So many papers, so little time....sigh...philosophy. On a brighter note, i got 19.9 out of 25 on major history paper. I was just short of an A on a paper that's worth 25% of my grade. *jubilant feeling*

Charles could not be cooler. She's been amazing! For the past week I've been living in her character apartment on Broadway. It's been great to have a place to put my head down and get free sparklers and candles for my birthday cake!

I have a lead on a full time job at the forks this summer. Kiki's boss apparently likes the look of me so that's a good thing. I'm considering putting in my resume at ragpickers just for fun. It would be awesome to be hired there even if i was making no money. To be with clothes all day...*dreamy sigh*.

I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THE APRIL 19TH AND I GET TO FLY AWAY TO LONDON, ENGLAND AND THEN TO IRELAND!!! IRELAND ROCKS! As you can tell I'm only minorly excited to be leaving the country and seeing my darling artful dodger again. Life is good when it involves europe. :D

Well I'm off to regional communications, long may my sister uphold the championship dynasty laid down by yours truly, and I'm going to see M*A*S*H*. That's the highschool drama of the year.

I'm in a greg trooper mood right now but he is sadly missing from my life, ah well, that is what lungs are for, "saturday night, saturday night, whoooooooooooo-oh another shitty saturday night." (it's just stuck in my head, it really it should be awesome saturday night) Although this one is going to be fantastic because it involves my mothers food. :D

Go easy on me my darling editors for the errors of which I'm sure abound in this text. I'm at a limited operating capacity of 63%. lol! Ah, it is good to post again. Merci encore pour tout, mes amies! Muah! ( I love speaking french to random strangers! Bavardeuse! )

Well I cornered my Prof in philosophy today. I cried bitter tears, wailed something about the end of the world as we know it, and blatantly confessed to panicking. She, calm captain of the class, said there was nothing to worry about and that all Kantian terrors could be banished. Humph, they can be sort of tucked away in a corner and feebly restrained by pelting paperweights at them. At least Mac and I are going to attempt to save each other. We've planned a battle study session tomorrow. Metaphysics here we come! Tomorrow is going to be yet another day banished to the library. (Here's hoping Brett isn't there *eyeball roll*)

English is so much simpler. Give me an honest literary book to interpret and I'm so much happier.

Micho starting to get worried about me and school again. *facepalm* She doesn't realize that I'm doing more work now than I did all of the rest of January put together. She's a dear and I know that it's only because she worries about me but please just leave me alone! I'm busy and annoying questions about my grades aren't the answer.

Our haircuts were awesome! *giggle* Micho thinks that she's going to have to opt for a full dye job. Weeee! My hair is so soft! :)

I had a great chat with my 'reach buddy today. WAHHH! She has her cheer leading outfit. *sniff* I WANT that skirt!

Well, i'm a sleepy head again, gonna get some shut eye. Later alligators!

Dammit! I can't vote! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT! Apparently I have to vote in my home constituency (duh!). However because I didn't file my income tax last year they don't have a record of me i.e. I don't have a card. No problem, my i.d. should do the trick. My drivers license, which is the only i.d. that meets all the government requirements states my address as Roseau River. ARPH! *headpalm* I can't possibly get all the way home today to vote! Dammit! Blast you conservatives! I can't even help prevent your evilness! *cries bitter tears and does futile fist shake* (apologies to anyone who doesn't share my political views)

On a brighter note, my busdriver is the brother to my neighbour (George). I was explaining my dilemma to him and mentioned the St. Malo area and Roseau River. He said "really? i have a brother out there." I asked for a name because as a can-am veteran I should automatically have been able to identify any male over the age of 50 in the area. Sadly, I'm beginning to slip, i could not identify. Then he said the magic words, "you go all the way down this road, senkiw road and turn left after about 2 km. I don't know if you know it..." I just wailed with laughter. I explained that we were kitty corner to that very piece of property and I knew exactly who he was talking about! Ah, I love living in Manitoba!

And the gods were smiling or at least trying to cheer me up this morning. Philosophy was cancelled! Hurrah! So now I am home a full hour earlier than usual! :D

And just so nobody freaks out when they come to visit, my neighbours have a massive dog! The thing is a close (albeit friendly) relative of godzilla and kong. I'd heard about it but hadn't actually witnessed it's giantism until yesterday. Every time I see it I think of how massive that bull bison was and how it made me feel like my eyes were deceiving me when we were watching it at the corner. It's the same feeling watching this gallute. He makes his mistress look like a 5 year old!

Nanabanana

Nanabanana, jump into the stew:
Gravy and carrots are good for you.
Good for your teeth,
And your fingernails too,
So Nanabanana, jump into the stew!

...I could skip rope to that!
